The day before your appointment you should thoroughly wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo but DO NOT USE ANY CONDITIONER. This helps the bonds adhere properly to your own hair.
During the application, 1” around the entire hairline will be left out in order to disguise the bonds. Expect some discomfort for a couple of weeks especially the first 2 – 4 days. This will be an itchy scalp and tenderness but it should wear off in time.
If your hair is greasy you may have to wash it often, as much as every day if very greasy. Always dry off before styling the extensions.
Depending on the length of your own hair the bonds may be visible if it is very short. The top section of your own hair will be left out on certain styles, in other styles the extensions can be staggered through it, resulting in lack of height on the top section; also bonds may become visible when the top section is extended. It may be necessary to extend the top to create the style you require.
